Think in nights and meaningful time in each landscape, not only the total number of days printed on an itinerary.
Seven days: make choices deliberately
A seven-day concept can introduce the northern circuit, but arrival, departure and transfers all take time. Decide which landscapes matter most and resist adding every possible stop. Read each daily plan to see how many nights are actually spent in the parks.
Nine to eleven days: room to linger
Extra nights can create a longer Serengeti stay, a gentler transition through the highlands or a short island chapter. They do not have to mean more destinations. Compare a safari-only route with a safari-and-beach route to understand the trade-off in wildlife time.
Fifteen days: connect different rhythms
A longer journey can balance wildlife viewing and several island nights, or allow a more expansive northern route. Combining northern and southern parks needs particular care because they are far apart. Flights, seasonal operations and room availability must support the proposed sequence.
